It is too easy nowadays to call someone a quack. Surely we should encourage multidisciplinary collaboration in treatment of disease, as this can only benefit! We need to ask the questions around potential conflicts of interest among physicians, researchers, and funding sources.

Not every situation calls for calm and stillness. A calm ocean may inspire gentleness and peace, but I know that crashing waves make me feel alive. Stillness has enormous benefits, but so does overpowering hits of sea air filled with salt. Cold, fear and a million emotions that roll, roar and tumble bring awareness to hidden broken bits that need healing.
It’s important for the healer to develop a certain authority within herself — and this authority is very different to the arrogant and ego-centered approach of some general practitioners. Authority should come with the knowledge of training and experience, and not the authority of 'I know'. This is the worst sort of authority for it leads to a closed mind. Real authority is born of 'being', which is accessed by the work done on oneself.
