Shape Your Destiny Towards Better Health
I’ve promised myself to ‘be good’ this year. In my case this means that I will pay more attention to what I eat and ensure that I include enough vegetables and fruit, get lots of exercise and sleep, drink more water, and do everything else in moderation. In this issue, we will help you along your way to better health in 2022 with informative articles including the benefits of high-dose nutrition. Is gluten really the cause of so many ills? Have you ever thought about the adverse health effects of dry cleaning chemicals? We provide a quick means of assessing whether you may be a sitting duck waiting for a dread disease to strike, and list the five main recommended supplements to help prevent this becoming a reality. A must read is the lovely article on sexuality and ageing, which will make you look forward to engaging in sexual bliss in later years.
When I read your letters, I feel humbled, inspired and extremely proud to have played even a small part in your journey towards health – and many of our authors have expressed the same.
The team that writes, edits, compiles, designs and creates Natural Medicine World is a remarkable group of people. THANK YOU TO OUR EXPERTS
Our authors receive no payment or any other form of remuneration from us or from the industry. They take time out from their busy schedules to write articles – and then we insist that they meet our deadlines, submit extra references, answer endless queries from reviewers and copy editors, and respond to the letters we receive from you, our readers. Here’s to all of them! May their tireless and tremendous efforts bring them well-deserved rewards.

Is Gluten Really the Cause?
Table of Contents ↑|Symptoms of wheat or gluten intolerance overlap with just about every other chronic illness from A to Z. Food allergies are immediately obvious when expressed as rashes, respiratory problems, excessive mucus or headaches. But gluten intolerance lurks in the background with a more delayed, if not subtle action, causing anaemia, asthma, attention deficit disorder, cancer, autoimmune diseases and even miscarriages.
Sexuality & the Gifts of Ageing
Table of Contents ↑|Is it possible that our sexual expression can deepen and become more fulfilling as we age? Most people experience the opposite. However, ageing holds many secret gifts that can deepen our sexual fulfilment. As we age we become less concerned about what others think. We slow down. We become more present. All these qualities can greatly support a more fulfilling love life. All it takes is the desire for deeper awareness.
Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT)
Table of Contents ↑|Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT), aka tapping, is a type of energy psychology intervention which unites Western clinical methods (exposure therapy and cognitive restructuring) with Eastern healing practices of acupressure to improve emotional and physical health.
Dry Cleaning – Risks & Safer Alternatives
Table of Contents ↑|Governmental regulations get tighter each decade as we learn more about the environmental hazards and increased health risks associated with dry-cleaning chemicals, while industry representatives continue to deny any adverse health effects. Rose-Marie Williams reports on the situation.
Do you have Sitting Duck Syndrome?
Table of Contents ↑|Are you a sitting duck, just waiting for a heart attack to strike, or a stroke, or cancer, or deadly diabetes? These diseases mean the difference between living well into your 90s, or dying suddenly in your 60s, 50s, or even younger.
Orthomolecular Medicine and High-Dose Nutrients
Table of Contents ↑|The controversy around high-dose nutrients continues to be a thorn in the side of conventional medicine and even governments. There are good reasons for this, some of which are understandable. The RDA or recommended daily dose of vitamins was established to identify the lowest dose that would prevent deficiency diseases, but it has little to do with the maximum doses required for optimum health. Orthomolecular medicine has gone one step further, namely to use even higher doses of nutrients for their particular biochemical and biological effects on the body.
